Dust is the residue and by-product of human beings, a product of the ruination process, which endowed the characteristic of site-specific. Dust Project consists of two parts: a site-specific installation and a video. The site-specific installation is a small section of wall, its bricks made of the dust of the exhibition site (a storey in the rough state of an idle commercial building in Shanghai). The video work records the process of dust collected from the site being pressed into a brick and eventually returning to the state of dust under the influence of wind.
