The book is inspired by an old buildings cluster in Guangzhou, exploring its unique spatial structure and the stories of its residents. The old building complex has no property management and is relatively autonomous; the residents become their own architects with their living spaces constantly being demolished, rebuilt, extended, superimposed, and divided... This kind of old house cluster shares many similarities with the ancient city of Çatalhöyük. The fusion of modern life and primitive structures tells fantastic stories.
